Friday, February 8, 2013 | 5 - 7 pm

 Join the Korean Cultural Center to celebrate the holiday spirit of Seollal, Korea's Lunar New Years Day! As one of the most important traditional Korean holidays, Seollal (설날) is a time to wish well and reconnect with family and friends.

This year the first day of the lunar calendar falls on February 10. Join KCC for a memorable night of cultural activities, lessons, and workshops:

  •  Introduction to the Seollal holiday 
  •  Performance of traditional instruments 
  •  Learn to do a sebae (세배) bow wearing hanbok in a traditional sarangbang room 
  •  Hanji doll paper craft (for kids and adults!) 
  •  Receive a keepsake bokjumeoni (복주머니) new year's luck pouch 
  •  Enjoy Korean rice cake and dumpling soup, ddeokmanduguk (떡만두국)
